• Our football cages are 2.5 metres high and 8 metres in diameter.
  • The football cages consist of 20 individual panels. Of these, 17 are plain panels, 2 are goal panels and 1 is a door panel.
  • We recommend that the football cage is erected by two people. It generally takes around 15 minutes to erect and 15 minutes to take down.
  • The football cage panels are connected using our easi-join system. One side of each panel has pins and the other has sockets. The pins simply slip into the sockets, so no tools are required.

  • No, due to the design of the cage it is self supporting so doesn't need to be fixed to the ground or be weighted down.
  • Yes, you can use fewer panels if you want to make a smaller cage.
  • The football cage can be erected outdoor or indoors. In fact it can be erected just about anywhere and on any surface as long as it is reasonably level.
  • The football cage comes in 20 individual panels. Each panel is 2.5 metres x 1.2 metres. The stack of panels measures 2.5 metres long x 1.3 metres wide x 0.9 metres high. In this image you can see a cage stacked inside a box trailer.

  • The football cage can be transported in any suitable van. If you don't have a van we recommend the Blueline Trailers 10’x5’x6’ Box Trailer. We don’t supply these trailers ourselves but Blueline will be happy to help you. We also recommend if you intend to use a trailer that you purchase one of our cradles which can be installed into any suitably sized trailer, you can use either a box trailer or an open trailer.

  • They are manufactured from top quality steel to standard EN 10219-1. The frame is made from steel box section with heavy duty solid metal mesh infill.
  • The football cage is hot dipped galvanised after manufacture which gives it a shiny silver finish. The galvanising is extremely hard wearing and will protect the cage from rust for over 40 years!
  • Cage Football Rules
    • Each game consists of two teams each with 2 players.
    • A goal is only scored when the ball touches the back wall of the goal box.
    • A player must be in their opponents' half to score.
    • After a goal is scored the defending team must start with the ball in their own half and the scoring team must return to their own half. (The team in possession of the ball does not have to wait for their opponents to be ready before beginning the game again).
    • No goal keeping allowed.
    • Each game lasts 2 minutes. The winner is the team that scores the most goals in those 2 minutes.
    • If the score is even then 30 seconds of ‘golden goal’ will be played.
    • If the score is still even both teams are out.
    • If at any point in the game a player performs a ‘nutmeg’ then that player's team automatically wins, no matter what the time or the score line. (A nutmeg is only completed successfully when the ball is placed between an opponent's legs and collected on the other side by the same player before the ball touches any other player or wall).
    • Rules on tackles are the same as normal football games.
    • No slide tackles.
    • No two-footed tackles.
    • No elbowing or shoulder barging.
    • No striking opponents.
    • No holding onto the cage or opponents to protect the ball.
    • Fouls will result in the clock being stopped and opponents returning to their own halves with the fouled player taking possession.
    • Referee's decisions are final and will not be discussed!
  • The cages are so simple to erect that very little training is required. We provide a setup manual detailing how to erect one, which includes all the information required. The rules of the game are listed above.
